JoAnne Lacey, MD Is a Neuroradiologist who specializes in the disorders of the Brain, Head and Neck and Spine. A graduate of Los Alamos High School, Dr. Lacey attended The University of New Mexico for her undergraduate degree in Biology and French with a minor in Chemistry. She did biomedical research at Los Alamos National Laboratory before attending medical school at McGill University in Montreal. An internship in Grand Rapids, Michigan was followed by Radiology Residency at St Louis University in St Louis, Missouri. She actively worked with the American College of Radiology lobbying with the legislatures of Missouri both in Jefferson City and in Washington DC to assure access to medical care and radiology services for all Missourians. She completed her Neuroradiology fellowship at Washington University in St Louis and joined the academic faculty at Washington University, rising to associate professor, teaching and working with the radiology residents in that program for 4 years. She eventually made the move to private practice at a Level I trauma center in the suburbs of St Louis where she practiced for 13 years. She is a Senior member of both the American College of Neuroradiology and the American College of Head and Neck Radiology. It had always been a dream to return to New Mexico. Dr Lacey is proud to join Radiology Associates of Albuquerque and to provide care to the patients of New Mexico.
