Dr. Jennifer Pohl completed her undergraduate education in 1987 at UCSD with Majors in Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Psychology. She then completed her graduate education in 1994 at the University of Nevada, Reno with a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology. After completing Medical School in 1998 Dr. Pohl came to NM to complete her residency in 2003 at the University of New Mexico and then joined the faculty as the Chief of Body Imaging. During her tenure at the University she held several leadership roles including Residency Program Director and Vice Chairman. She was honored with recognition from medical students with the Apple Award, the MVP Award from the Department Chairman and Teacher of the Year award from the residents. She has participated for many years in multidisciplinary patient care boards. Her areas of clinical expertise include oncologic imaging, thoracic imaging, CT and MRI imaging of the abdomen and pelvis, ultrasound imaging and mammography. Dr. Pohl has also had a many year commitment to the American Board of Radiology as expert for evaluation of examinations given for radiologist certification examinations.
